Lisa Bonfert is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg's Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, affiliated with the Institute for Social Research and Social Interventions (ISI). She holds a position in the Department of Education and Social Work. Her work focuses on migration dynamics, social inequalities, and transnational family structures, with a particular emphasis on subjective social positioning and emotional dimensions of mobility.

Her recent publications explore themes like transnational social positioning, affective dimensions of social protection, and midwifery care in cross-border contexts. She actively engages with qualitative research methodologies and care ethics in migration studies.
