Lisa Bekemeyer

Lisa Bekemeyer serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Education at Bethel University across the College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School, and College of Adult and Professional Studies while directing the Academic Resource Center (ARC) since 2001.

Her educational background includes:

• B.A. in French from University of Notre Dame (1994)
• M.Ed. in Second Language and Cultures from University of Minnesota (1996)

Specializing in Comprehensible Input (CI) methodologies, she trains educators in multilingual learner instruction through Special Education and ESL frameworks. Her current work integrates gratitude practices into teacher development, culminating in an upcoming educator journal focused on classroom community building.

She supervises student teachers and teaches courses including Special Education Student Teaching Seminars (EDUC 451/751), Field Experiences in School-Based Settings (EDUC 643), and ESL K-12 Teaching Methods (EDUC 678).
