She serves as an independent scientific expert for the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in Parma, Italy (2020–2026). Her research focuses on ecotoxicology, particularly endocrine disruption in zebrafish, to study organ development and the impacts of environmental pollutants on wildlife.
Her research interests include zebrafish biology, developmental and neurotoxicity, endocrinology, and the application of OECD guidelines. She collaborates internationally and contributes to projects like the integrated fish endocrine disruptor test (iFEDT). She teaches courses such as Human and Environmental Toxicology and Chemical Toxicology.
