Dr. Liridona Veliu is a Research Fellow at Dublin City University, specializing in Balkanization, EU/NATO enlargement, and discourse analysis. She completed her PhD in 2022 with a thesis examining how 'balkanization' shapes Euro-Atlantic policies in the Western Balkans.

She serves as Editor for the Palgrave Encyclopedia of Peace and Conflict Studies and previously held roles in Erasmus+-funded projects, including teaching and curriculum development in Georgia. Her work bridges academic research with practical engagement in peacebuilding initiatives.
