Dr. Gezim Visoka is an Associate Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Dublin City University (DCU), School of Law and Government, and serves as the Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. His work focuses on statehood, state recognition, post-conflict peacebuilding, and the role of civil society in transitional justice, particularly in the Western Balkans.

He co-edits the Routledge Studies in Statehood and Rethinking Peace and Conflict Studies book series, and has over 20 years of experience in policy consultancy in post-conflict societies.
