Lioukas Spyros

Spyros Lioukas is a Professor at the Department of Management Science and Technology, Athens University of Economics and Business, where he teaches business strategy, strategic change, and governance across undergraduate and postgraduate programs (International MBA, Athens MBA, MSc in HR). He directs the Strategy and Entrepreneurship research unit and has served as Chairman of both the Management Science & Technology and Marketing departments.

• Education: Engineering degree from National Technical University of Athens; PhD from London Business School.
• Academic Career: Started as Senior Researcher Officer and Lecturer at London Business School.

Research Interests: Spanning strategic management, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, organizational reputation, and public policy analysis. His recent work focuses on corruption normalization in public sectors, effectuation in innovation, and environmental governance frameworks.

Research Trends: His publications emphasize SME resilience, governance dynamics in multinational enterprises, entrepreneurial intention drivers, and ethical challenges in corporate and public sectors. Subfields include network theory, crisis management, and resource orchestration in technology-based firms.

Public Service: Served as Greece's Ambassador to the OECD (1996-2001), advisor to Public Power Corporation, and member of EU technology policy committees. Currently involved in private company boards and wind energy startups.
