Lionel Yaceczko serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics at Benedictine College, with his office located in St. Benedict Hall 411.
He earned a BA from the University of Dallas (thesis on Propertius) and MA/Ph.D. from The Catholic University of America. His research centers on Roman literature, Latin pedagogy, and classical education systems within the Roman Empire.
Dr. Yaceczko's scholarly output includes the book Ausonius Grammaticus (Gorgias Press, 2021) and the textbook Jerome’s Introduction to Latin (KDP, 2021), alongside numerous popular articles. These works collectively emphasize ancient educational methodologies and the transmission of classical knowledge, particularly through grammatical frameworks and Latin instruction.
