Linnéa Engman is a Senior Lecturer at Örebro University's Department of Behavioral, Social and Legal Sciences, within the School of Behavioural, Social and Legal Sciences. She is affiliated with the Center for Health and Medical Psychology (CHAMP) and the Psychology and Pain (CHAMP: PP) research group. Her work focuses on pain-related behavior, particularly vulvodynia and vulvovaginal pain, integrating cognitive-behavioral frameworks and patient-centered interventions. Engman holds a doctoral degree in Psychology from Örebro University (2021).
Her research interests include psychological inflexibility, coping strategies in chronic pain contexts, and the application of behavioral treatments involving partner involvement. Engman has published extensively on vulvodynia management, sexual pain dynamics, and the impact of communication in healthcare settings for conditions like endometriosis. She also explores models such as intolerance of uncertainty in fear-related conditions like fear of childbirth.
Engman's publications span journals in health psychology, pain management, and sexual health, with a focus on longitudinal and experimental designs.
