Tove Axelsson Landberg is a doctoral student at Örebro University, affiliated with the School of Health Sciences and the Department of Health Sciences. Her research focuses on pain and psychological distress in Swedish youth, particularly through the ReActivate intervention, a physiotherapy-led behavioral medicine approach targeting pain-related fear and avoidance behaviors. She also works as a physiotherapist in primary health care in Region Örebro län, contributing clinical insights to her research.
Her doctoral project explores mechanisms linking musculoskeletal pain and psychological disorders in adolescents, emphasizing graded exposure to physical activity as part of the intervention. She is part of the Center for Health and Medical Psychology (CHAMP) and the Psychology and Pain research group (CHAMP: PP). Her clinical work involves treating children and young people with pain and mental health issues, further informing her research interests.
