Linnea Bodén is an Associate Professor at Stockholm University's Department of Child and Youth Studies. She earned her PhD in Pedagogical Practices from Linköping University in 2016, focusing on posthumanist analyses of school absenteeism through digital technologies. Her research examines children's everyday lives in educational contexts using feminist and posthumanist frameworks, with particular emphasis on ethical considerations in research methodologies.
Research interests include:
- The ethics of children's participation in research, especially randomized control trials
- Development of postqualitative methodologies blending feminist and posthumanist theories
- Material-discursive analyses of educational phenomena
- Critical examinations of standardized testing practices
Her recent publications (2021-2024) demonstrate interdisciplinary approaches combining childhood studies, sociology, and media analysis, with emerging focus on pandemic-era social dynamics. She currently supervises PhD candidates including Jessica Samsioe ('Förskolans hall') and contributes to the Forte ECHOES project on children's health.
