Linn Tonstad

Linn Tonstad is Assistant Professor at Yale Divinity School specializing in systematic theology, queer/feminist theology, and philosophy of religion. Joined Yale in 2012 after teaching at Southern Methodist University and Valparaiso University.

Research explores Trinitarian theology, gender/sexuality in religious contexts, and theological method. Published on queer theology beyond apologetics, religious parody, and critiques of theological truth claims. Current book project: God and Difference: Experimental Trinitarian Theology.

Teaches courses integrating feminist/queer critiques with classical theological traditions. Member of American Academy of Religion with publications in Modern Theology and Neue Zeitschrift fur Systematische Theologie.
