Dr. Lindsay Naylor is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography & Spatial Sciences at the University of Delaware. Her research focuses on food systems, geopolitical power dynamics, and decolonial frameworks. She holds affiliations with Women & Gender Studies, Latin American & Iberian Studies, and the Delaware Environmental Institute (DENIN). Naylor earned her Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Oregon (2014), M.A. in International Development from American University (2004), and B.A. in Political Science from Western Washington University (2001).
Her work examines the intersection of food production, sustainability, and social justice, particularly in Mexico, the U.S. Mid-Atlantic, and the Caribbean. She co-founded the Embodiment Lab and was awarded the AAG Fellowship (2023) for her contributions to feminist and decolonial geographies. Naylor's book *Fair Trade Rebels* (2019) won the Julian Minghi Award and explores coffee production struggles in Chiapas.
Awarded the University of Delaware Anti-Racism Initiative Fellowship (2021-2022), her recent work addresses climate coloniality, neonatal care systems, and the ethics of care in neoliberal academia. Her research emphasizes embodied knowledge and solidarity economies.
