Her research program spans three areas: virtual care impacts on costs and accessibility; effects of healthcare corporatization on equity and quality; and interdisciplinary team-based primary care models. She employs diverse methods including administrative data analysis, patient/provider surveys, and policy analysis through partnerships with BC's Ministry of Health and health authorities.
Recent publications document rapid shifts to virtual care during COVID-19, administrative workload challenges, and innovative nursing roles in primary care. Her work highlights how privatization and corporatization affect healthcare accessibility while proposing solutions to improve system capacity and data infrastructure.
She serves as Treasurer for the Justice Emmett Hall Memorial Foundation board and teaches graduate courses on Canadian health policy and health services research methods.
