Dr. Calum Lindsay is a Research Associate in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Glasgow’s School of Health and Wellbeing. His current work focuses on addressing healthcare 'missingness'—multiple missed appointments and low service uptake. He previously held a Research Fellowship at the University of Stirling, investigating support systems for parents who use drugs in the UK. Lindsay holds a PhD (2022, University of Stirling) and an MSc in Social Work (2016).
Research interests include social inequalities linked to migration, anticolonial social theories, and equitable public service provision. His work critiques structural barriers in healthcare access, particularly affecting marginalized groups like refugees and migrants.
Key contributions include realist reviews on healthcare engagement and structural determinants of health disparities. His 2019 book chapter in The Routledge Handbook of Critical Social Work explores ethical dilemmas in social work practice.
