Linda Villarosa is a Pulitzer Prize Finalist (2023) and Professor of Journalism at City College of New York (CCNY), where she also teaches Black Studies and writing. She serves as a Guest Lecturer in Harvard Medical School's Media and Medicine programs and holds a Journalist-in-Residence position at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. Her work focuses on the intersection of race, inequality, and health.

Her research explores systemic racism's impact on health outcomes, with notable works on maternal mortality, HIV/AIDS disparities, and environmental justice. She contributes to the New York Times Magazine and was recognized for her National Magazine Award-finalist piece on Black maternal health.
Villarosa's recent book Under the Skin (2022) examines how racial inequality affects public health. Her awards include the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists' Award (2017) and induction into their Hall of Fame (2020).
