Linda Rabieh is a Senior Lecturer in Humanities at the Concourse Program, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She specializes in ancient and medieval political philosophy, focusing on ethics in warfare, the role of women in ancient thought, and epistemological inquiries in Greek philosophy. Previously, she taught at Colorado College and Tufts University, joining MIT in 2010.
- Education: Ph.D. in Political Philosophy from the University of Toronto
Her research spans the intersection of ethics and politics in classical and medieval texts, particularly analyzing works by Thucydides, Plato, Maimonides, and Averroes. Her book Plato and the Virtue of Courage (2006) earned the Delba Winthrop Mansfield Prize. She also co-directs the joint History/Concourse IAP programs in Ancient Greece and Italy.
