Linda Patrick is a Professor and former Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Windsor. She served as Dean until 2020, leading initiatives such as the Nursing PhD program and accreditation efforts. In 2022, she transitioned to a six-month term as Acting Executive Director of Academic Labour Relations. Her academic leadership spans strategic planning, curriculum development, and fostering interdisciplinary partnerships.
Her research interests include health outcomes, oncology nursing, and palliative care. She spearheaded the launch of specialized programs like the health informatics initiative and the advanced oncology/palliative nursing diploma. Under her tenure, the Faculty of Nursing achieved maximum accreditation and secured significant funding for international nurse training programs.
Linda has actively promoted community engagement, overseeing United Way fundraising efforts and donating critical medical supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic. She also emphasized student excellence through honor roll recognitions and graduate student mentorship.
Key collaborations include partnerships with the de Souza Institute for advanced oncology training and the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships program. Her administrative expertise bridges academic governance and operational leadership, shaping nursing education and healthcare policy at the university and regional levels.
