Linda Sarna

Linda Sarna is Distinguished Research Professor and Dean Emerita at UCLA School of Nursing, where she served as Dean from 2014-2021. She holds the Lulu Wolf-Hassenplug Endowed Chair in Nursing and chaired the UCLA Academic Senate from 2012-2013.

Her research focuses on tobacco control, oncology nursing, and smoking cessation interventions. Dr. Sarna founded the Tobacco-Free Nurses initiative and led efforts to implement UCLA's tobacco-free campus policy. Her work examines smoking trends among healthcare professionals and develops evidence-based cessation programs.
