Dr Linda McDonald is a Senior Lecturer at the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare, University of West London. She began lecturing at UWL in 2017, focusing on HIV and substance misuse. Her career includes a 15-year tenure as an HIV nurse consultant, followed by roles at the Medical Research Council and Imperial College, where she worked on HIV commercial trials and cohort studies.

Linda completed her doctorate in medical ethics and served on the London Central 1 Ethics Committee for a decade. She currently chairs the Harrow Ethics Committee and was appointed to the Health Research Authority's Phase one Advisory Group in 2024. Her research interests span HIV care, substance misuse, and ethical frameworks in healthcare.
