Linda M. Kock is an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her research focuses on engineered tissues, ex vivo organ models, and regenerative medicine applications. She specializes in developing advanced culture systems for studying bone dynamics, liver tissue regeneration, and chondrocyte behavior in disease states.
Her academic background includes a Master's thesis on integrin-mediated ECM gene expression in chondrocytes (2007, TU/e). She has pioneered ex vivo platforms using slaughterhouse-derived tissues for disease modeling and organoid engraftment studies. Current research emphasizes translational applications in orthopaedic biomechanics and hepatic tissue engineering.
Key projects include bone dynamics monitoring systems, liver scaffold repurposing, and human osteochondral culture models. Collaborations span biomechanical engineering, material science, and clinical translation. Her work contributes to Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and innovation in medical technologies.
