Linda J. Colley is the Shelby M.C. Davis 1958 Professor of History at Princeton University since 2003, with prior positions at the London School of Economics (1998-2003), Yale University (1982-1998), and Cambridge University (1978-1982). Her work bridges British, European, and global contexts, focusing on early modern British and Atlantic social/political history, nationalism, and imperialism.
Her academic honors include:

Colley’s research examines the interplay of empire and identity, British global entanglements, and biographical approaches to transnational history.
