Guilhamon's research centers on postcolonial Indian literature and diaspora narratives, with specialized focus on ecocritical fiction, British Colonial Literature, and the linguistic dimensions of multilingualism in fiction. Her work bridges literary analysis with pedagogical innovation in literature education, examining how language heterogeneity shapes postcolonial identity in Anglophone Indian writing.
Her publication trends reveal consistent engagement with major Indian authors like Amitav Ghosh and Salman Rushdie, analyzing historical intersections in literary works and linguistic hybridity within colonial contexts. The research demonstrates strong thematic continuity in postcolonial theory and literary linguistics across a 10-year span.
Guilhamon maintains active international research collaborations through recent appointments as Visiting Scholar at Stanford University's CASBS (2021-22) and Northwestern University (2007), alongside teaching positions at Jawaharlal Nehru University (2001-02) and Cambridge University (1999-2000).
She directs the IECI Language Department while coordinating English instruction for LANSAD, teaching diverse courses from Introduction to American/British Literature to specialized topics like Cultural History of the English-Speaking World and 19th-century British Literature at both undergraduate and Master's levels.
