Linda Gosner is an Assistant Professor of Classical Archaeology at Texas Tech University, specializing in Iron Age and Roman archaeology. She co-directs the Sinis Archaeological Project (SAP) in Sardinia and collaborates with projects at Brown University and the University of Vienna. Her research focuses on local responses to Roman imperialism, mining industries in Iberia, and environmental interactions. Gosner holds a PhD from Brown University (2016) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan (2017–2020). She is currently on research leave (until 2025) as an ACLS Fellow and member of the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton).

Her fieldwork spans Spain, Portugal, Italy, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, and the U.S., emphasizing multi-scalar survey methods and satellite remote sensing. She also serves as affiliate faculty in Texas Tech’s Anthropology program.
