Linda Evans is an Associate Professor in the School of Humanities at Macquarie University, specializing in Egyptology with a focus on environmental history and human-animal relationships in ancient Egypt. Her research explores how ancient Egyptians interacted with non-human animals through religious ideas, art, and philosophy. She has contributed to major projects like the Ancient Cultures Research Centre (MQACRC) and MQRC: Centre for Ancient Cultural Heritage and Environment (CACHE), collaborating internationally on archaeological sites such as El Hosh.
