Lina Stotz is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Gender Research (STK), affiliated with the University of Oslo and the Faculty of Law. Her research focuses on the legal recognition of children born of war (CBOW) in international criminal law (ICL), examining their stigmatization, rights, and intersections with societal narratives.

Stotz's work explores the intergenerational dynamics of CBOW across historical and cultural contexts, assessing how legal frameworks address their victimhood. She is a board member of the Children Born of War Project and has extensive practical experience working with victims of sexual violence in organizations like Terre des Femmes, Society for Threatened Peoples, and Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice.
Her 2024 publication in the International Criminal Law Review outlines the normative gaps in ICL regarding CBOW, while her research contributes to the ERC-funded EuroWARCHILD project. Stotz has lived, studied, and worked in Myanmar, Laos, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.
