Lina Diers is a Research Fellow in the RG »Object Itineraries« at the Austrian Archaeological Institute (ÖAI), part of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW). Her work focuses on Roman archaeology, particularly regional pottery supply systems and settlement patterns in the Balkans and Danube region. She holds a BA and MA in Archaeology and Egyptology from Georg August-Universität Göttingen (2012) and a PhD in Roman Archaeology from the University of Vienna (2019).
Her research interests include urbanism studies, material culture analysis, and archaeological theory. She has conducted extensive fieldwork in Kosovo, Romania, Austria, Germany, and the Balkans, with excavation participation from 2008–2019. Notable research stays include scholarships at the Centre for Urban Network Evolutions (UrbNet, Aarhus, 2016) and the ÖAI Athens (2018).

Her current research project examines Roman regional pottery supply systems between the Stara Planina and Danube in Bulgaria. She collaborates with the RG »Object Itineraries« to explore material culture networks and economic dynamics in antiquity.
