Lin Yi

Dr. Lin Yi serves as an Associate Professor of Accounting within the College of Business at the University of Houston – Clear Lake, holding dual Master of Science degrees in Finance and Mathematics from the University of Kansas alongside her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Houston.

Dr. Yi's research critically examines derivative hedging efficacy, securitization structures, and regulatory bank financial reporting practices. Her methodological approach combines quantitative finance techniques with accounting standards analysis, yielding publications in top-tier journals like Review of Accounting Studies and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.

She currently teaches Accounting for Administration Control and International Accounting, building on prior instruction in Cost Accounting and Accounting Concepts for Managers. Her classroom practice integrates real-world financial reporting challenges with theoretical frameworks to develop students' analytical capabilities in complex accounting environments.
