Lillian Nave

Lillian Nave is a Senior Lecturer in First Year Seminar (General Education) at Appalachian State University and serves as the CETLSS Coordinator for the Hickory campus. She specializes in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), global learning, and innovative pedagogical strategies. Her work emphasizes culturally responsive teaching, hybrid/hyflex course design, and fostering inclusive educational environments.

Her research explores intersections between UDL principles, online learning, and social justice issues in education. Notably, she has collaborated on cross-cultural projects like the Boone-Kabul initiative, blending art and education to bridge global divides.
