Lillan Lommel is a Research Associate and Lecturer at Leuphana University Lüneburg, affiliated with the Professorship for Business Administration (Organization Studies). She is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Management & Organization (IMO), focusing on organizational space, affect, materiality, and qualitative methods. Her work integrates practice-based approaches and reflexivity in studying social innovation and entrepreneurship.
Education:
- Since 2022: PhD student, Leuphana University
- 2018–2019: MScR in Sociology, University of Edinburgh
- 2014–2017: BA in Intercultural Relations and Behavior, Jacobs University Bremen
Research Interests: Organizational transformation, digital entrepreneurship, inclusive work environments, and the material dimensions of organizational practices. She explores how spatial and affective dimensions shape innovation and social change, particularly in contexts of digital transformation and community-driven projects.
Teaching & Projects: Teaches qualitative methods and gender/diversity theories. Leads the project “Transformation through Innovation and Cooperation in Communities – TrICo,” focusing on social innovation in regional development. Engages in the LIONA REGINNB initiative for co-creative regional innovation.
Labs/Teams: Part of the IMO’s research clusters on entrepreneurship psychology and sustainable entrepreneurship. Collaborates with the Leuphana Sustainable Entrepreneurship Certificate (L-SEC) program.
