Lilah Glazer

Dr. Lilah Glazer is a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences (Biochemistry & Cell Biology) at Queen Mary University of London, affiliated with the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences. Her research focuses on understanding how developmental exposure to environmental pollutants contributes to neurodevelopmental disorders. She leads projects funded by the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions Individual Fellowship, investigating gene-environment interactions in zebrafish models exposed to methylmercury (MeHg). Her work combines CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, behavioral analysis, and biomarker identification to explore mechanisms of neurotoxicity.

Dr. Glazer’s research interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, environmental toxicology, and zebrafish models. She investigates how pollutants like pesticides, flame retardants, and heavy metals affect neural development, with a focus on identifying susceptible genetic backgrounds and predicting adverse outcomes through transcriptomic and epigenomic markers.
