Liese Zahabi

Liese Zahabi is an Associate Professor of Interaction/Graphic Design in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of New Hampshire (College of Liberal Arts). Previously, she served as faculty at the University of Maryland and Weber State University. She holds an MGD from North Carolina State University and a B.F.A. from Eastern Michigan University. Her work bridges design research, education, and creative practice, focusing on search as a cognitive/cultural process, interface design, and the intersection of digital media with memory and history.

Her research explores metaphoric interfaces, digital search experiences, and the role of design in shaping user cognition. Her creative projects span digital art, motion design, and exhibitions such as the M(other)ing Exhibition (2025) and Creativity and Collaboration: Revisiting Cybernetic Serendipity (2017). She has also designed posters for international events like the Emirates International Poster Festival (2021).
