Lie Ma

Lie Ma is a Lecturer in the Mathematics Department at West Virginia University's School of Mathematical and Data Sciences. He coordinates Math 124 (Algebra with Applications) and serves as Assistant Coach for the WV National Math Team. With an M.S. in Applied Mathematics from WVU and ongoing Ph.D. studies in Higher Education Administration, his teaching spans quantitative reasoning, algebra, calculus, and differential equations.

His research focuses on mathematics education and curricular innovation. Previous work explored applied mathematics topics including spectral analysis and Fourier methods. He actively contributes to math competitions and student development initiatives.
