Lidia van Huizen

Dr. Lidia van Huizen is a Senior Consultant in Patient Safety & Quality at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen (UMCG). She coordinates the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) Fast Lane unit and serves as a Senior Trainer & Consultant at KERTEZA, specializing in healthcare quality and regulatory compliance. Her roles also include chairing the CEN/TC 362 committee for Healthcare Quality Management Systems. Her research focuses on optimizing oncology care pathways, evaluating telemedicine applications in multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to EU medical device regulations. Her work bridges clinical practice, regulatory standards, and healthcare innovation.
