Libby Black is an Associate Professor at the School of Art, San Francisco State University. She is a painter, drawer, and sculptural installation artist known for exploring themes such as politics, feminism, LGBTQ+ identity, consumerism, addiction, and notions of value and desire through mixed-media works. Her installations combine life-sized paper-and-glue sculptures with two-dimensional paintings and drawings sourced from fashion magazines, books, and newspapers.
