Sebastian Black is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the MFA in Studio Art Department at Maine College of Art (MECA). He holds an MFA from Columbia University and a BA from Vassar College. His work focuses on contemporary art practices, installation art, and mixed media, with exhibitions featured in prominent venues since 2018. Notable exhibitions include Old Friends (2025), Maiden Voyage (2023), and Supermoon (2022). His art has been reviewed in publications like The New Yorker, Artforum, and The Brooklyn Rail.
