Libby Adjei

Dr. Libby Adjei serves as an Assistant Professor of Education at Oral Roberts University, bringing extensive experience in K-12 education across elementary, middle, and high school levels in both public and private institutions.

Her educational qualifications include:

• Associate’s Degree from Kingsborough Community College
• Bachelor’s Degree from City College of New York (CCNY)
• Master’s Degree in Secondary Education (Social Studies concentration) from Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus
• Doctorate in Education Leadership (Public School Administration concentration) from Oral Roberts University

Dr. Adjei's research centers on innovative literacy partnerships and tailored support systems for first-generation and Generation Z students in secondary education. Her work examines reimagining field experiences through collaborative literacy initiatives and addresses systemic barriers in teacher preparation. She has presented at the Oklahoma Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and published in the Opportunity Matters Journal, focusing on practical applications for underserved student populations.

With substantial federal grant management expertise, she oversees programs including TRIO: Upward Bound and Gear Up. Recently, she secured a $2.2 million U.S. Department of Education grant targeting improved graduation rates for at-risk, minority, and Pell-eligible students at ORU through enhanced academic support structures.
