Lian Lundy

Professor Lian Lundy is Professor of Environmental Science at Middlesex University with 25 years' experience in sustainable urban water management. Her research integrates blue-green infrastructure and wastewater surveillance for public health.

Research focuses on:

• Stormwater quality and treatment technologies
• Nature-based solutions for water management
• Wastewater-based epidemiology applications
• Pollutant behavior in urban systems

She coordinates international collaborations including the NORMAN Network for emerging contaminants. Current PhD students investigate tyre wear particles, metal speciation in runoff, and groundwater impacts. Projects include BioGain for biodiversity monitoring at energy sites.
