Li Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology, part of the Faculty of Business and Information Technology at Ontario Tech University. His research focuses on applying AI and machine learning to cybersecurity, particularly in intrusion detection and anomaly detection for 5G/6G networks and IoT systems. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Western University (2022), and has held roles such as Vice Chair of IEEE Computer Society, London Section (2022–2023).
