Li Xin

Dr. Li Xin is a Research Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Southern University of Science and Technology. He holds a Ph.D. from Liaoning Normal University and has extensive experience in computational biochemistry, enzymatic reactions, photobiology, and artificial enzyme design.

• Education: Ph.D. and B.Sc. in Chemistry from Liaoning Normal University.
• Career: Postdoctoral roles at Kyoto University and Peking University, followed by Associate Professorship at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics before joining SUSTech in 2017.

Research Focus: Combines computational methods with biochemical and chemical systems to study enzyme-catalyzed reactions, photobiological mechanisms, and artificial enzyme design. His work bridges theoretical chemistry, molecular dynamics, and biomolecular simulations.

Funding: Recipient of National Natural Science Foundation of China grants (2019-2022, 2014-2017) and Shenzhen Fundamental Research Funding (2018-2020).
