Letitia Guran is a Teaching Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in Comparative Literature and Romanian Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Georgia (2005), along with multiple master’s degrees. Her research focuses on global/transatlantic studies, Romanian/Eastern European literatures, African American identity, and post-communist/post-colonial studies. She has been awarded a Fulbright grant (1997–1998) and an NEH Fellowship (2022–2023), supporting her work on Langston Hughes and digital humanities.
