Leszek Dawid (born March 6, 1971 in Kluczbork) is a Polish film director and academic currently serving as Dean of the National Film School in Łódź since 2024. He graduated from the Faculty of Film and Television Directing at the National Film School in Łódź in 2003 and earned his PhD in film and theatre arts from the same institution in 2024. As a member of the European Film Academy (EFA), he has established himself as a significant figure in contemporary Polish cinema.
Dawid's research and creative interests focus on film direction, cinematography, television series production, documentary filmmaking, and film education. His work demonstrates a consistent engagement with narrative structure, character development, and visual storytelling techniques across various formats from feature films to television series and documentaries.
