Leslie C. Lander is an Associate Professor and Graduate Director for Computer Science at Binghamton University's School of Computing. He has been affiliated with the university since 1985, previously teaching mathematics in Europe and South America before transitioning to computer science.
Education: BA from Cambridge University, MSc and PhD from the University of Liverpool. His research focuses on programming languages, software engineering formalisms, and object-oriented design patterns. He has contributed to Ada language research and led the local ACM SigAda Chapter.
Awards include the 2013-14 Outstanding Graduate Director Award and 2005-06 Chancellor's Faculty Service Award. His advising role as Graduate Director involves overseeing CS graduate programs.
