Leroy Gilbert, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Regent University School of Divinity. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, an S.T.M. in Pastoral Ministry and Counseling from Yale Divinity School, and additional degrees in Psychology, Practical Theology, and Social Studies. Dr. Gilbert retired as a Navy Captain (O-6) after serving in all four sea services (Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine), with leadership roles including Chaplain of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and Naval Postgraduate School Chapel. His pastoral roles include Senior Pastor at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church and First Baptist Church, as well as ordination with the American Baptist Churches and National Baptist Convention, USA.
