Leonie Segal is an Adjunct Professor at Monash University's Centre for Health Economics within the Faculty of Business and Economics. With an extensive research career spanning from 1994 to the present, she has produced 81 research outputs including articles, books, and commissioned reports. Her work contributes to multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in health and wellbeing.
Professor Segal's research interests focus on health economics, public health, and health services research. She specializes in cost-effectiveness analysis of health interventions, chronic disease management, maternal and child health, Indigenous health services, and mental health. Her work often addresses critical health issues including tobacco and alcohol misuse, nutrition, diabetes care, stroke rehabilitation, and trauma-informed care for vulnerable populations.
