Donald Kenkel is the Andrew Dickson White Professor at Cornell University, specializing in health economics and public sector economics. His research focuses on disease prevention, health promotion, and the economic evaluation of public health policies. He has conducted extensive studies on alcohol taxation, cigarette regulation, smoking cessation strategies, and emerging issues in tobacco product regulation such as e-cigarettes.

Research interests emphasize the cost-benefit analysis of public health interventions. His recent work explores the economic implications of e-cigarette markets and tobacco control policies.
