Leonie Reher is a Researcher at the University of Göttingen, affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Business. Since February 2021, she has worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Economic Policy and SME Research, and since September 2023, she has been pursuing her doctorate at the ifh Göttingen. Her research focuses on innovation activities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in structurally weak regions.
- Education: BA in North American Studies (Free University of Berlin), M.Sc. in International Economics (University of Göttingen), with an exchange year at Indiana University Bloomington.
Research Interests: Innovation economics, international trade, labor economics, digitalization, and SME dynamics. Her work addresses challenges like skilled worker shortages and entrepreneurial resilience during crises.
Scientific Awards:
- DAAD scholarship for exchange studies in the U.S.
Professional Context: Affiliated with the Chair of Economic Policy and SME Research and the ifh Göttingen (Institute for SME Research). Her prior roles include tutoring econometrics and internships at KPMG and the U.S. Embassy in Berlin.
