Leonid Gurevich is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials and Production at the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Aalborg University, Denmark. His research bridges materials science, electrochemistry, and nanotechnology, with a strong focus on energy storage systems and biosensing technologies.
His research interests include lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery technologies, with emphasis on aging mechanisms, cathode recycling via pyrolysis, and development of non-woven electrode architectures. He also explores DNA-based nanoelectronic devices, conductive MXene hydrogels for tissue engineering, and polymeric nanocarriers for drug delivery. His work integrates experimental materials synthesis, electrochemical characterization, and device fabrication.
