Leonardo Cecchi

Leonardo Cecchi is a Professore a contratto (Visiting/Contract Professor) at the University of Genoa, Italy, within the Department of Naval, Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering (DITEN). He currently delivers the Yacht Design Studio Workshop A for the Master’s degree programme in Yacht Design.

Despite his engineering affiliation, his research publications concentrate on allergy, asthma, and mobile-health applications. His work explores classification of allergic rhinitis via the MASK-air mobile platform, clinical care pathways for allergen immunotherapy, and multidisciplinary consensus documents that distinguish COVID-19 symptoms from allergic rhinitis and common cold. He has also contributed to Italian guidelines on biological treatments for nasal polyposis and assessed the impact of rhinitis severity on work productivity through digital epidemiology tools.
