Leonard Shine

Leonard Shine is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut's School of Business, where he teaches courses in Managing Human Capital in the Executive MBA program and Talent Management in the Graduate School. He holds an MPA from Baruch College-CUNY and a BA from Hunter College-CUNY. Shine is the founder of The Canton Group, a global consultancy specializing in organizational change, leadership development, and interactive meeting design. He has extensive experience working with multinational corporations such as GE, Lafarge, ING, Shell, and Pirelli, focusing on leadership programs, strategic retreats, and process improvement initiatives.

Shine's career spans roles as a facilitator, coach, and consultant, including positions at CIGNA as an HR Officer and with the Mayor’s Office of The City of New York. He is a Senior Business Coach & Facilitator for Mannaz and has lectured at Hunter College-CUNY and Cornell-ILR School in New York City. His expertise includes cross-cultural collaboration, safety protocols, ethics, and innovation-driven communication.
