Leon McCrea II, MD, MPH, is the Deborah J. Tuttle, MD and John P. Piper, MD Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Associate Professor in the Department of Family, Community & Preventive Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. He specializes in family medicine, primary care research, and academic leadership. His roles include fostering inclusive excellence in medical education, leading the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and directing residency programs.

Research & Leadership: Dr. McCrea focuses on DEI initiatives, competency-based education, and mentorship for underrepresented groups. He chairs the Consortium of DEI Health Educators (CDHE), serves on national boards (e.g., Family Medicine Educational Consortium), and advocates for health equity. His clinical interests include women’s health, procedural medicine, and underserved populations.
